I was surrounded by a variety of vintage and antique textiles growing up and I learned most of my needlework skills from three generations of women in my family. I don't think they had any idea the influence it would have on my future creative and artistic endeavors.

My other passion is my garden. I designed it from the new construction bare earth and there is an endless supply of inspiration from the plants and inhabitants. As you can see from many of my quilts, I am particularly fond of the birds.
